My recollection is that the beer was Hamms. We came up from Chicago for homecoming weekend one year, specifically on a Thursday so we could hit Schooners (fuzzy memory says mid-to-late 90′s). Opened the door and there were two old timers … Only good song on the jukebox was Stranglehold, by the Nuge. We used to play it 10 times in a row so we didn’t have to listen to that country crap. If my recollection is correct, they changed beers to Hamms around ’94/’95 timeframe. …
